The motivation behind the "Embedded Masterclass" series of seminars is to enable embedded engineers and vendors of embedded technology to come together to share information in a none sales environment. All presentations are of a technical nature, offering engineers a real chance to learn of new silicon, tools and software and the chance to be aware of trends and innovation in embedded technology.

Although this seminar has a medical focus, much of the technology will be a applicable to a wide range of electronic industries and all embedded engineers are welcome to come along.

Enea Embedded Technology are the developers of the OSE Realtime Operating System (RTOS). The OSE RTOS supports both CPU and DSP and has also been especially developed to enable the development of high performance, power efficient mobilephones. Lauterbach will be running a demonstration with a live and interactive multicore debug session on a TI OMAP 2420 processor. Each core will have its own debug session running giving either cross-linked or independent control combined with an ETM trace from the ARM1136. We will also be demonstrating how our analysis of the embedded trace records can provide an interactive cache analysis. You alter the cache structure, rerun the analysis and compare the new performance figures to arrive at the optimum configuration for your code.
